Cluster Dashboard

Overview of the Kubeadapt cluster dashboard showing cost metrics, efficiency, and infrastructure tabs.

Overview

Cluster Dashboard

The Cluster Dashboard is the landing page for a selected cluster. It shows key cost and efficiency metrics at the top, with tabbed views for different resource types below.

Access: Select a cluster from the Clusters page, sidebar dropdown or simply use cmd + K to search through your clusters.

Metric Cards

Four cards across the top of the dashboard:

  • Run Rate - Projected monthly cost at current resource provisioning. Shows month-to-date (MTD) actual spending and the day count for the current billing period.
  • Monthly Savings - Total potential savings across all optimization categories, with annual projection and percentage reduction.
  • Cluster Efficiency - Combined CPU, RAM, and storage utilization score (0-100%). A progress bar shows the current value against the ideal range of 60-80%.
  • Infrastructure Scale - Total node count, pod count, and pods-per-node ratio.

Click the info icon on any metric card to open a slide-over panel with a detailed explanation of how the metric is calculated.

Tabs

Six tabs organize cluster resources:

  1. Overview - Cost optimization insights, resource utilization gauges, and savings breakdown
  2. Nodes - Node groups with instance types, costs, and efficiency. Click a group to see individual nodes.
  3. Namespaces - Namespace list with cost, workload count, and efficiency. Click a namespace to drill in.
  4. Workloads - All deployments, statefulsets, daemonsets, and jobs across the cluster.
  5. Volumes - Persistent volumes with storage class, capacity, cost, and namespace.
  6. Connectivity - Agent connection status, data freshness, and communication health.

Header Badges

The cluster header shows live status information:

  • Provider - Cloud provider (AWS, GCP, Azure)
  • Status - Active or inactive
  • Nodes - Total node count
  • Pods - Total pod count
  • Namespaces - Total namespace count
